  1. Dear Wren,
How beautiful they are!! Like jewellry that has elaborated and sophisticated shines. But also your sense of humour is wonderful--actually, it's in the so srious scene! (I want to read next! What happens?)
Thank you for sharing the jewellry! Keep up.
    Cheers,Sadami

  2. I'm so impressed. So you made those sculpts to make the drawings easier on yourself..Like, you can use them in different positions is that right? That's so clever. For me it would be an almost impossible job to draw the characters and vehicles and everything from different sizes. But don't you think it's a lot of extra work to make all those sculpts? I'm just curious, never made a comic, and I think it's much work.

  6. Wren these are fantastic pages and I think you have done a great job on the lettering and layout. I particularly think that first page is really well balanced and has plenty of breathing room. Wonderful work!

  7. Really great, Wren. it would be great some time if you show in steps what's your workflow (or maybe you already did that and I didn't see it), because for me the way you use values with watercolors is amazing. Best regards.

  8. Your page is very good, it makes a really good comics. congrats !
I see what you want to tell, (if I understand) the digital lettering is commode but we haven't got what we really want with, mostly with traditionnal work. I think the same. You describes it with a perfect humor.
However, and I'm sorry °_°' , I don't understand the sentence, why are you haven't made hand lettering ?
    Thank you
Keep up the good work :)

  9. Sanja, thanks for checking in on me - that is probably on of the most important aspects - that the pages seem balanced, so thanks for mentioning it. Sadami, what happens next? I'm glad the story has a hook, and you are interested in knowing. MJ - I've never made a comic before either. The models and sculpts were lots of work, but in the long run, I think it is paying off, particularly with ships that are seen again and again. Jose, your support has been huge for my project. Scott, I am getting a sense for the ambitious nature of the project, it blows me away that you find in inspiring - thank you. Kate - I'm counting on you to identify all the pop culture references in my work!
Craig, thanks for your evaluation of the layout. I consider myself to be a student at Phillips Academy of comics and I will take your remark as a passing grade. Luis, you got it, I will try and post something that shows the stages of a page in process. Marine, thanks for the thumbs up. There is a bit of confusion about the lettering. It isn't hand lettered, its a font in the computer, but I will try again and see if I can do a nice hand lettering job. I will try to update this post with a hand lettered page.

  10. Hey, thank you for your comment, yes, the illustration of the nightwalker is done with charcoal (well, pencil, actually, but they work quite similarly).

This pages look amazing, i told you once before about the insane technique of your watercolour works... and probably due to that, i didn't notice back then the subtlety of the line work, which is pretty awesome too.

  12. Wow. These pages are great. I'd say they were too good for comics. But what I mean is that comics need to start rising to this standard. Wow, again. Cheers!

  14. Jordi, I am tempted to so some line work only pages - because all that gets masked over. Thanks for noticing the line work. Claudio, thank you so much for following. Micah, thank you so much. Before we say that this project is setting any standards for comics - I have to finish it and make it a comic. Sadeu, thank you for becoming part of the following.
